We congratulate our colleagues Juan Pablo Góngora (Observatorio Pierre Auger and Comisión Nacional de Energía Atómica), Federico Maria Mariani (U Milano, Italy) and Bjami Pont (Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen) on receiving the Auger Impact Award 2024 for their outstanding contributions towards the objectives of the Auger Observatory.
We are pleased to present this award to
- Juan Pablo Góngora for taking responsibility in the operation of the PMT Lab and for his exceptional, long-term commitment in the maintenance and repair of the PMTs.
- Federico Maria Mariani, who unfortunately could not be present at the award ceremony, for taking over the production of the Auger data at the in2p3 computer-center with the transition to AugerPrime.
- Bjarni Pont for continuous feed-back to the deployment team based on status summarizing tools leading to the success of the commissioning and calibration of the Radio Detector.
