-- Indication of anisotropy in arrival directions of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays through comparison to the flux pattern of extragalactic gamma-ray sources --

The Pierre Auger Collaboration, ApJL (2018)

. Description:
------------------------------------------------------
Maps of the excess of events and best-fit model UHECR flux, within attenuation scenario A (EPOS-LHC with a hard injection index gamma=1), above the energy threshold maximizing the test statistic for anisotropy, and for the best-fit parameters obtained with each source sample.

------------------------------------------------------
. Source samples:
------------------------------------------------------
- "SwiftBAT" folder: maps obtained above the best energy threshold (39 EeV) for the Swift-BAT sample
- see Sec. 3.2.

- "Starburst" folder: maps obtained above the best energy threshold (39 EeV) for the sample of 23 starburst galaxies from Ackermann et al. (2012) - see Sec. 3.1.

- "GammaAGN" folder: maps obtained above the best energy threshold (60 EeV) for the sample of 17 gamma-ray AGN from the 2FHL (Ackermann et al., 2016) - see Sec. 3.1.

- "2MRS" folder: maps obtained above the best energy threshold (38 EeV) for the 2MRS sample - see Sec. 3.2.

------------------------------------------------------
. Coordinate system:
------------------------------------------------------
- "SupergalacticCoordinates" folder: maps in supergalactic coordinates - the Galactic plane is indicated as a solid gray line.

- "Galactic coordinates" folder: maps in Galactic coordinates - the supergalactic plane is indicated as a solid gray line.

. Maps in .pdf format
------------------------------------------------------
- "*_excess_map_obs*.pdf": Observed excess map above a given energy threshold for the best-fit parameters. The best-fit isotropic component is subtracted - see Fig. 3.

- "*_excess_map_model*.pdf": Model excess map above a given energy threshold for the best-fit parameters. The best-fit isotropic component is subtracted - see Fig. 3.

- "*_residual_map*.pdf": Residual map above a given energy threshold for the best-fit parameters: observed excess map minus model excess map - see Fig. 3.

- "*_flux_map*.pdf": Model flux map for the best-fit parameters (uniform full-sky exposure) - see Fig. 3.

The excess maps (best-fit isotropic component subtracted) and residual maps (observed minus model) are smeared at the best-fit angular scale. The color scale indicates the number of events per smearing beam (see inset). An orange dashed line delimits the field of view of the array.

. Maps in .fits format
------------------------------------------------------
Same as the pdf maps, without the Galactic or supergalactic plane, without the source names and symbols. Maps are stored using the Healpix scheme with nSide = 64.
